How to stop syncing backups to Google Drive

This article explains how to disconnect Google Drive sync, what happens when you do, and how to reconnect later.

How to disconnect

  1. Go to Settings > Google Drive.

  2. Click "Disconnect".

You can also remove ProBackup from your Google account's security settings at https://myaccount.google.com/connections.

What happens when you disconnect

  • Syncing stops immediately.

  • Existing data in your Google Drive remains untouched.

  • Your backups continue to be stored securely on ProBackup's servers.

  • Your ProBackup subscription remains active.

How to reconnect

  1. Go to Settings > Google Drive.

  2. Click "Connect".

Note: Reconnecting creates a new folder in your Google Drive. Attachments that were previously synced will not be synced again.
