This article explains why manual backups are not available in ProBackup and how the backup schedule works.
Why manual backups are not supported
ProBackup does not support manually triggered backups. All backups run automatically once every 24 hours on a fixed schedule.
There are two reasons for this:
API rate limits – each app limits how many requests can be made within a given time period. Backing up an entire account requires a large number of requests spread over several hours. Triggering this on demand would risk exceeding those limits, which could cause incomplete backups or temporarily affect your app's performance.
Backup reliability – by controlling the schedule, ProBackup can spread backup activity evenly across all customers, run integrity checks during each cycle, and ensure every backup completes fully.
What you can do
If you need to check whether a specific record has been backed up, you can look it up directly in ProBackup by navigating to the relevant app and data type. The most recent backup is always shown by default.
