What we back up:
The following data types are backed up:
- Users
- Channels
- Threads
- Messages
- Attachments
- Direct messages that the user has access to
What we don't back up:
The following data types are not backed up:
- Direct messages between other users
- Channels that the user doesn’t have access to
- Group membership & permissions
- Workflows
Important
The reason that some of these data types are not backed up is because they are not made available in Slack's API. As soon as these data types are available through the API we will add them to the backup scope.
