This article explains which data types ProBackup can restore for Trello and any known limitations.
ProBackup never overwrites or changes existing data in Trello. Every restore adds a new copy from your backup.
Boards
When you restore a board, a new board is created in the workspace. The restored board's name ends with "(restored" and the date and time of the restore. Its lists, cards, labels, custom fields, comments, checklists and attachments are restored with it, together with the board settings and enabled Power-Ups. If the original workspace no longer exists, a new workspace with the original name is created automatically.
Note: Views and automations will not be restored.
Cards
When you restore a card, a new card is created in the original list. The following data is included: description, due date, location, members, attachments, custom field values, comments, checklists, and labels. ProBackup adds a comment "Restored from backup, original id: …" to the restored card.
Comments
When you restore a comment, a duplicate is created in the related card.
Files
When you restore a file, it is added to the related card.
Custom fields
When you restore a custom field, a duplicate is created in the related board. Custom fields can only be restored if the original field has been deleted, as Trello requires each field name to be unique.
Note: Field values will not be restored when restoring a custom field.
Labels
When you restore a label, it is added back to the related board. Labels can only be restored if the original label has been deleted, as Trello requires each label to be unique.
Not restorable
Lists, workspaces and users cannot be restored on their own. Lists come back when you restore their board; a workspace is recreated when you restore a board whose workspace was deleted.
