Setup Guide for ProBackup for HubSpot

ProBackup is a data backup & restore solution for HubSpot and other SaaS apps.

ProBackup runs daily, automated backups in order to protect user's data from accidental deletions, sync errors, internal threats, and ransomware. With the app, users can:

  • Access historical versions of contacts, deals, notes, etc.

  • Recover and restore deleted records back to HubSpot

Create Your Account

  • Fill in your email, click Continue

  • Fiill in your full name, password and check the Terms of Service.

  • Click Continue

  • Verify your email by filling in the 6-digit verification code

Set up Your Backup

  • Click on Log in with HubSpot

  • Click on Sign in to your HubSpot account

  • Select your HubSpot account (portal)

  • Click Choose Account

  • Review the requested scopes on this screen. ProBackup requests access to read and write to contacts and companies and read and edit contact and company properties

  • Scroll down and click Connect app

  • On the next step you have the option to sync your HubSpot backups to your Google Drive.

  • Click on Connect Google Drive or Skip for now (you can connect your account later on the Settings page)

  • Click on Start backup

  • This will start your first backup.

  • Once the backup is set up, you are redirected to the summary page.

  • As soon as the first backup is completed you will receive an email from us. From that moment we will automatically back up your HubSpot once per day.

Use the app

  • ProBackup automatically backs up your data once every 24 hours, no scheduling required.

  • On the backups page, you can choose on the left sidepane which data type you would like to view.

  • Select the date of your version and the table will automatically show the data from the selected day.

  • Click on the item that you would like to view. Use the date navigation to view the different versions.

  • Click on Restore to create the selected version back to your HubSpot account.

Removing your HubSpot backup

If you wish to remove HubSpot from your ProBackup account:

  • Confirm the removal of the app.

Alternatively you can also cancel your ProBackup subscription.

Once you have removed HubSpot from your account, all related data backups will be removed permanently within 10 days.

Disconnect the app

Removing HubSpot from ProBackup or cancelling your ProBackup account, will not automatically disconnect your HubSpot account from ProBackup. To do so, please follow these steps:

  • Log in to HubSpot

  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps

  • Next to ProBackup, click on Actions, then Uninstall

  • Type "uninstall" and click on Uninstall

Note: If you disconnect your HubSpot account from ProBackup, data will no longer be backed up. Existing data backups will remain on your ProBackup account.

Close your ProBackup account

If you wish to stop using ProBackup account, then you can follow these steps:

Note: After closing your ProBackup account, we will remove your data backups within 10 days from our servers.
