This article explains how to connect your ProBackup account with Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO) for easier and more secure access.
Note: Microsoft SSO is only available on the Premium plan.
Personal Microsoft accounts
For individual Microsoft accounts, no setup is required. On the ProBackup sign-in page, click "Sign in with Microsoft" and follow the prompts.
Organisational Microsoft accounts
For company or school accounts, a Microsoft 365 administrator may need to grant access before employees can use Microsoft SSO.
Step 1: Grant organisation-wide access
Ask your Microsoft 365 admin to open the following link:
https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/oauth2/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=351eb882-32df-4927-896d-9f2e1ab93ab8&redirect_uri=https://support.probackup.io/en/articles/12034056-how-to-set-up-microsoft-ssoOn the Microsoft consent screen, the admin must check "Consent on behalf of your organization".
Click "Accept".
Step 2: Manage access in the Microsoft portal
Once access is granted, the ProBackup application will appear under Enterprise Applications in the Microsoft Azure portal. From there, the admin can assign access to specific users or groups.
Step 3: Sign in with Microsoft SSO
Click "Sign in with Microsoft".
Sign in with your Microsoft credentials.
