Each time an item has been created or changed, a new revision of this record is created. Depending on the price plan, the retention period of these revisions will be different:
Plus: Revisions are kept up to 6 months
Pro: Revisions are kept up to 2 years
Premium: Revisions are to up to 4 years
Tip: Pro & Premium users can set their data retention to a shorter period via Settings > Data retention.
What happens with older revisions?
A revision of a record will be deleted if in the following two scenarios:
The revision is created before the threshold date AND the record is no longer active (i.e. has been removed from the app)
The revision is created before the threshold data AND we have at least one revision that is created after the threshold date.
If the last revision of a record is created before the threshold date and the record has not been changed since then, then this revision will not be removed.
Example: Assume the date retention is set to 6 months.
You create tasks X and Y on 2024-01-01 which creates a 1st revision for each task.
On 2024-03-15 you update Task X which creates a 2nd revision for this task.
On 2024-06-01 the threshold date is reached for the 1st revisions of both tasks. In this case only the 1st revision of Task X will be removed.
Task X has a new revision available and the first revision is past the threshold date
Task Y has no new revision available so we keep this record.
Note: In case of an expired trial or a canceled subscription, the data backups will be removed within 10 days.
