This article explains how long ProBackup retains your backed-up data and how you can configure the retention period.
Retention period
ProBackup retains your backup data for a configurable period known as the data retention period. Depending on your subscription plan, you can set this to 3 months, 6 months, 2 years, or 4 years.
You can configure your retention period in Settings > Data Retention.
Note: Premium users can request a retention period longer than 4 years by contacting support.
Versions
Each time a record is updated in your connected app, ProBackup saves a new version. This allows you to look up how a record looked on any previous day.
To optimise storage, older versions are automatically removed once they pass the retention period, as long as a more recent version of that record still exists.
Deleted items
When a record is deleted from your app, ProBackup archives it rather than removing it immediately. The deleted item is retained for the full retention period so you can still recover it if needed. Once the retention period ends, the item is permanently removed from ProBackup's servers.
