This article explains the different ways you can download your backed-up data from ProBackup, including table exports, attachment downloads, and Google Drive sync.

Exporting a data table

You can export any data table as an Excel-compatible file.

  1. On the Home page, click "Go to..." for the relevant app.

  2. Select the data type you want to view (e.g. records, items, comments, files) using the tabs.

  3. Use the sidebar to navigate to the correct project, board, or list.

  4. Click the Download icon in the top right corner of the table.

Note: Data tables must be exported individually. It is not possible to download all tables across your account in a single step.

Requesting a full export

If a table contains too many records to load in the browser, a "Request Full Export" button will appear at the top of the table. Click it to process the export in the background. Once the file is ready, you will receive an email with a download link.

Downloading a single attachment

  1. On the Home page, click "Go to..." for the relevant app.

  2. Select the Attachments tab.

  3. Use the sidebar to navigate to the correct project, board, or list.

  4. Click the Download button next to the file you want.

Bulk downloading attachments

Premium users can download all attachments from a specific project, board, or list as a single ZIP file.

  1. On the Home page, click "Go to..." for the relevant app.

  2. Select the Attachments tab.

  3. Use the sidebar to navigate to the project, board, or list you want to export.

  4. Click the "Download all" icon in the top right corner of the table.

Note: Bulk download is available on the Premium plan only.

Using Google Drive sync

Pro and Premium users can sync their data backups to Google Drive for easy access outside of ProBackup.

Once synced, you can:

  • Download specific folders, sheets, and attachments directly from Google Drive.

  • Install Google Drive for Desktop to automatically sync your backed-up data to your local device.
