This article explains which data types ProBackup can restore for Notion and any known limitations.
Pages
When you restore a page, ProBackup creates a copy of it in Notion, as a subpage of a page called "ProBackupRestore". If that page does not exist yet, ProBackup tries to create it inside an accessible page from your backup. If this fails, create a page named ProBackupRestore in Notion, share it with the ProBackup connection, and retry.
The page text and properties are restored. Files and images that were uploaded to the page are added back as file attachments at the end of the restored page.
To find restored pages:
In Notion, click "Search" in the left sidebar.
Search for "ProBackupRestore".
Click on the result to view your restored pages.
The restore report in ProBackup also contains a direct link to each restored page. Check the report for skipped files: a page restore can succeed even when some attachments could not be restored.
Known limitations:
Subpages are not restored together with their parent page. Select and restore each subpage you need; it is added under "ProBackupRestore" as well.
Databases can't be restored.
Files and images are added at the end of the page, not at their original position, and only files up to 20 MB are restored. Files linked from other services (e.g. Google Drive) are not restored as attachments.
Comments
When you restore a comment, a duplicate is created in the original discussion on the related page.
