Yes, you can customize your backup scope by excluding specific data from being backed up.

All users can exclude entire workspaces from the backup process. If you are on a Premium plan, you have more granular control and can also exclude specific items within a workspace, such as projects, lists, or boards. The options available depend on the application (see examples below).

How to exclude items from your backup

  1. Navigate to the dashboard for the specific application you want to configure.

  2. Click the Scope tab, located next to Reports.

  3. Find the relevant workspace and click the option to Exclude items (the exact wording may vary, e.g., "Exclude projects" or "Exclude lists").

  4. Use the search bar to find the items you wish to exclude and check the box next to each one.

  5. A number will then appear next to the workspace, indicating how many items have been excluded from the backup.

Examples of exclusion options by app

The specific items you can exclude vary by application. For instance:

  • Asana: Exclude specific projects.

  • ClickUp: Exclude specific lists.

  • Trello: Exclude specific boards.

  • HubSpot: This feature is not available, as all CRM modules are backed up by default.
