Locating specific data quickly is crucial when you need to recover lost information. ProBackup provides two efficient ways to find your data: navigating through specific project tables or using the powerful Global Search functionality .
Option 1: Contextual Search (Browsing Projects)
If you know which project or board the missing item belongs to, you can navigate directly to it:
Select your App: On the homepage, click on “Go to..” regarding the specific app you wish to search.
Select Data Type: Choose the relevant data category (examples include tasks, comments, files, or spaces).
Navigate to the Project: In the left sidepane, select the correct project, list, or board.
Note: For certain apps, such as HubSpot, this sidepane is not available because all data is displayed directly in the main tables.
Browse Categories: Once you are inside a project, you can use the tabs to navigate between tasks, comments, files, and fields associated with that project.
Search the Table: Use the search field located immediately above the data table to filter and find specific items within that view.
Option 2: Global Search
If you are unsure where a specific item was located, you can use the Global Search feature. Whether you are backing up Asana, Trello, ClickUp, or Monday, you no longer need to remember which specific board a missing item belonged to.
This feature scans across your entire data backup, searching through all tasks, records, comments, file names, documents, and field names .
Note: Global Search is available on the Pro and Premium plans .
How to use Global Search
We have designed this feature to be frictionless to help you save time during critical recovery moments:
Access your Vault: Navigate to the vault of one of your connected apps.
Locate the Search Bar: Click the search bar located prominently in the menu bar.
Enter your Query: Type in your text (record name, content, or keyword).
View and Restore: The items matching your text will appear in the results. Simply click on a record to jump directly to the item view in the backup. From there, you can inspect the details or initiate a restore .
