What data can and cannot be restored?

This article explains why some data types have limited restore capabilities in ProBackup.

Why not all data can be restored

ProBackup restores data through the public API of each cloud app. Each API defines which actions are available, and this limits what ProBackup can restore.

As a result:

  • Some data types cannot be restored at all (e.g. it is not possible to restore an entire Asana workspace).

  • Some restores have limitations (e.g. certain field types or subitems may not be included).

Check the restore capabilities for your app

Restore capabilities vary by integration and are documented in the Help Center. We recommend reviewing the details for each app you use so you know what to expect before you need to restore.
